Topics covered include Search Engine Marketing, Email and Mobile marketing, Social Media Marketing, Online Advertising and PR, along with monitoring and metrics.
If you want a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of planning, executing and monitoring a digital marketing campaign, this qualification is for you.
What are the entry criteria?
One of the following:
- Sufficient experience in marketing or communications
- A marketing, communications or business qualification
- Any degree or vocational equivalent
If you already have a marketing qualification contact us about recognition for prior study. You may be eligible for 50% credit transfer onto the Diploma in Digital Marketing.
What are the modules?
This qualification involves studying two single modules plus a double module.
- Digital Marketing Essentials
This module provides you with the essential skills and knowledge of digital marketing. As well as codes of practice and regulations, topics covered include digital planning, implementation and monitoring, SEO and PPC, Email Marketing, Viral marketing, Online PR, Affiliate and Social Media Marketing. You will also learn about social-media monitoring, website analytics, and usability and accessibility. - Digital Marketing Planning
This module considers the internal and external factors that influence digital marketing planning. You will explore a range of e-business models, review the differences between the traditional and digital marketing mix, and consider issues such as trust, security and privacy. - Marketing and Consumer Behaviour
This double module provides you with the skills and knowledge required to manage marketing communications and activities to support a brand. It explains the links between marketing and communications, and provides the fundamentals of consumer behaviour and their application to marketing communications.

What are the computer requirements?
To study this qualification you will need internet access, preferably broadband, in order to log onto our online Study Portal and to participate in online tutorials. You will also need a headset that incorporates a microphone to plug into your computer during tutorials.
Apart from a web browser, the only software requirements are a suitable media player and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Both are available free of charge.
