Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications are developed in consultation with industry to equip you with the skills employers are looking for.
This qualification is for you if you already work in marketing and want to accelerate your career by improving your knowledge and skills at the strategic level.
This qualification provides the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to manage the marketing function. This includes people, budget and channel management along with risk assessment and delivery of the value proposition.
It is delivered online and supported by regular live webinars and optional face-to-face study sessions at the start of each module. You are supplied with high-quality printed course materials and have access to multimedia resources through our Study Portal.
The qualification has four modules, each requiring three-months part-time study:
- Strategic Marketing
Provides a detailed understanding of strategic marketing planning. The module considers the marketing planning process and how to evaluate and implement marketing strategies based on sound assessment. - Mastering Metrics
This module provides you with a thorough understanding of the key marketing metrics and measurement techniques. You will be able to identify and interpret insights to support informed strategic decisions. - Driving Innovation
The focus of this module is on identifying how innovation and entrepreneurial marketing can help achieve competitive advantage for your organisation.

One of the following:
- CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing
- Any bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent) with at least a third of credits in marketing
- A diploma or advanced diploma in marketing or business
- 3 to 4 years experience as a Marketing Manager
If English is not your first language, you will need IELTS 6.5 or Trinity ISE III/IV.
To study this qualification you will need internet access, preferably broadband, in order to log onto our online Study Portal and to participate in online tutorials. You will also need a headset that incorporates a microphone for online tutorials.
Apart from a web browser, the only software requirements are a PDF reader plus standard office automation software to write your assignment.
The total tuition fees are $4350 ($1450 per module).
You should also allow an additional $1600 for the following: textbooks, CIM membership, CIM assessment fees, and an exam fee.
All fees are tax deductable and can be spread over the duration of the qualification.
