This qualification has three modules.
Each module is around four months long and requires approximately 50-hours of guided study (plus time to complete a work-based assignment).
The qualification is delivered through part-time blended learning. This comprises online study supported by regular live webinars and optional face-to-face study sessions at the start of each module. You are supplied with high-quality printed course materials and have access to multimedia resources through our Study Portal.
- Mastering Digital Channels
This module provides you with the essential knowledge of the digital marketing channels available. Topics covered include Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Adwords Paid Search, Display Advertising, Email Marketing, Viral Marketing, Online PR, Content Marketing, and Social Media Marketing. - Driving Digital Experience
This module provides a rigorous introduction to user experience and analytics. It gives you the skills and tools to optimise your visitors’ experience through online research, testing and analytics. Topics include marketing automation, personalisation, online market research, A/B Testing and Google Analytics. - Digital Strategy
This module considers the internal and external factors that influence digital marketing planning. You will explore a range of digital models, develop online personas, and review the differences between the traditional and digital marketing mix, and also consider issues such as trust, security and privacy.

One of the following:
- Sufficient experience in marketing or communications
- A marketing, communications or business qualification
- Any degree or vocational equivalent
If English is not your first language, you will need IELTS 6.5 or Trinity ISE III/IV.
To study this qualification you will need internet access, preferably broadband, in order to log onto our online Study Portal and to participate in online tutorials. You will also need a headset that incorporates a microphone for online tutorials.
Apart from a web browser, the only software requirements are a PDF reader plus standard office automation software to write your assignment.
The tuition fees are $5850.
Also, allow an additional $1000 for CIM membership fees, CIM assessment fees, and textbooks.
All fees are tax deductible and can be spread over the duration of the qualification.
