Is this marketing qualification for me?
If you have little or no experience or qualifications in marketing, the CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing will help accelerate your career.
As well as giving you a solid foundation in marketing theory and practice, this internationally accredited qualification is also your first step towards a Masters in Marketing and prestigious Chartered Marketer status.
What are the entry criteria?
This is an ‘open’ qualification, which means you need no previous qualifications or marketing experience. However, if you are working or have some business experience, this will certainly help you put your learning into context.
If English is not your first language, you will need IELTS 6.5 or Trinity ISE III/IV.
What are the computer requirements?
To complete this qualification you will need internet access, preferably broadband, in order to log onto our online Study Portal and access a range of multimedia resources.
Apart from a web browser, the only software requirements are a suitable media player and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Both are available free of charge.
What are the modules?
The qualification involves studying two modules:
- What is Marketing?
This module investigates the importance of marketing, how it links to different functions of an organisation and how it contributes to business success. It also gives you an understanding of the internal and external marketing environment and marketing mix. - Understanding Customer Relationships
This module focuses on developing an understanding of internal and external customers. It considers how this knowledge can help you when designing marketing activities to achieve long-term customer loyalty.
